Unlike most ballistic weapons, has a very high flux load when fired. Turrets mounted with this system have an extremely poor turn rate.

The Gauss Cannon is a heavy kinetic weapon. Essentially a larger version of the Railgun and Hypervelocity Driver, it is effective at taking down shields and light armor at long range.
Unlike other ballistic kinetic weapons, the Gauss Cannon has a blue projectile trail.
The Gauss Cannon has a high OP cost and among the worst flux:damage ratios in the game; its extreme range and high damage per hit are its only positive traits. Generally limited to niche builds like a kiting Conquest.
