Notes
The 50% reduction is for the shield maintenance soft flux cost only. It does not reduce damage the shield takes in any way. It is useful for ships that want to expand their available flux dissipation further after maximising flux vents. This is particularly attractive for shield-tanking ships with a higher shield cost than the relative OP cost of vents. For example a frigate with more than 80 shield flux cost can effectively save 40 dissipation for a cost of 3 OP
